I know everyone loves photos, I certainly do so here are a few more of Lema throughout her life so far.

Stay tuned for more photos and information about Lema and her future here with us.
Lema was imported from DR Congo by Dr Jo Thompson, more about Dr Jo and her dogs at the Lukuru Website;
Lukuru Basenji Conservateurs
Lema herself was in a tough spot when Jo found her, she and her sister Mpale were not well and their mother was not able to provide care. There was concern on Jo's part the pups would certainly die if she did not take them with her. This was the start of Lema's journey.
There have been some stories written about Lema's trip and how Jo met her we will try to post in the near future, for now the photos tell the story of her journey so far. Enjoy them, we are certainly enjoying Lema.
Lema came to live with us so that we might help her fulfill her journey with the next adventure, puppies. We plan to announce this year who the Lukuru Conservateurs have chosen for a sire to her first litter.
For now we are working hard to spoil her, which comes easily as with most basenjis.
Lema has settled in with our dogs and has decided if we keep the toys and treats coming she will let allow us to be her care takers, she loves to tease the other basenjis by piling up all the toys in one corner of the couch and sitting in the middle of them. She is especiallly fond of the toys that make noise and has identified all of them in our house.
